Wreaths Across America is a non-profit organization that honors the service and sacrifices of veterans by placing wreaths on their graves during the holiday season. The organization was founded in 2007 by Morrill Worcester, who owns a wreath company in Maine, and it has grown significantly since then.

Each year, Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at over 2,500 locations across the United States, including cemeteries, memorials, and monuments. The organization’s volunteers work with local groups, businesses, and community organizations to raise funds and coordinate the logistics of the wreath-laying events.

Wreaths Across America’s mission is to “Remember, Honor, and Teach.” The organization seeks to remember the fallen, honor those who served, and teach future generations about the sacrifices made by veterans and their families. In addition to the wreath-laying events, Wreaths Across America also provides educational resources and outreach programs to promote patriotism and respect for our nation’s veterans.

The wreaths laid by Wreaths Across America serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our nation’s veterans and their families, and the organization’s work helps ensure that their service and sacrifice are not forgotten.

Each year Wreaths Across America organizes the placing of wreaths on graves at selected national cemeteries throught the country. We often contribute to this causes and this year producted a video describing how the practice originated. The wreaths,  show above, are at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.
