Shipping Human Remains to Mexico

We have much experience transferring a family’s loved one to Mexico. Our services provide peace of mind and are much less expensive than traditional funeral homes. Repatriation of a loved one is expected – it was their final wish to go home. For us to perform this service, the deceased should be within 100 miles of the San Diego area.

It is not a difficult task; it is a matter of proper preparation and having the appropriate legal paperwork.  We will discuss travel with cremains, shipping cremains, and shipping full-body remains to Mexico.

Family Traveling with Urn to Mexico

When taking cremains to Mexico via plane it is best to just carry them as part of your hand luggage.  Checked items do on occasion get lost by airlines and we do not want to happend to your loved one.

When cremains are carried on, the urn much be X-rayable. The standard plastic container supplied by the crematory or funeral home is good for this and complies with TSA guidlines.

Note that the urn will never be opened by security personal, even when asked to do so to verify contents.

We also provide reasonably priced cremation services to the residents of El Centro and all Imperial county.

If the urn cannot be X-Rayed, it must be taken as check luggage. If this is the case, it will be tested for explosive residue and carried in the luggage compartment of the plane.

In either of the cases above, the following documentation is required

      • Certificate of cremation from the crematory
      • Certified copy of the death certifiate
      • Transit permit from the funeral home
      • Declaration of urn content from the funeral home
      • The deceased passport
      • Name and address of the person in Mexico the cremains are going
